Project Manager

JourneyTeam is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing ERP practice and support successful customer implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. We’re seeking someone who is eager to showcase their project management skills and is passionate about helping businesses transform through effective use of technology. 

In this role, you will collaborate with technical and functional team members, coordinate project activities, and help guide customers through their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation journey. Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds in Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, IT, or business operations—and have worked directly with ERP systems either as a user, subject matter expert, analyst, or implementation team member. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase deep project management capabilities while delivering impactful solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Own the successful delivery of ERP implementation projects from kickoff to go-live—driving execution, aligning cross-functional teams, and holding all stakeholders accountable to timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Lead with clarity and purpose by translating complex business needs into actionable project plans and prioritized backlogs in collaboration with JourneyTeam consultants, developers, and client stakeholders.
  • Champion project visibility through the creation and management of clear, up-to-date documentation—including schedules, status reports, and task assignments—using tools like Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps.
  • Facilitate momentum and alignment by actively participating in discovery sessions, workshops, sprint planning, and status meetings—ensuring decisions are made, blockers are removed, and progress stays on track.
  • Proactively manage scope, budget, risks, and timelines, escalating issues early and collaborating with stakeholders to drive timely, effective solutions that protect delivery commitments.
  • Apply and evolve JourneyTeam’s hybrid project methodology (Agile + Waterfall) to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams through transparency, responsiveness, and proactive communication that anticipates needs and prevents surprises.
  • Embrace a leadership mindset—this is not a passive coordination role. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, leads with confidence, and thrives on driving projects forward with urgency and ownership.
  • Travel occasionally for key in-person meetings or project kickoffs; most work will be conducted remotely.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years related field or equivalent experience in business, finance, supply chain, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with ERP systems, specifically Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills with the ability to translate requirements into actionable plans - user stories, tasks and backlog items.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools; specifically, Project, Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps or other project management tools.
  • Understand fundamentals and advanced practices of project management and execution.

30-Days: 

  • Read and review The Ideal Team Player by Patrick Lencioni.
  • Shadow other project managers to learn our proven implementation process and understand team roles and responsibilities.
  • Begin managing delivery on an assigned project alongside a Project Manager mentor.

6-months: 

  • Contribute fully to project efforts and long-term client support.
  • Carry a full load of projects (ideally 8–12 of varied size and complexity).
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and clearly communicate scope, schedule, and cost to external stakeholders.
  • Identify, document, and mitigate project risks to ensure projects stay on track and within scope.

1-Year: 

  • Develop and implement process improvements based on project learnings to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted advisor for their ERP needs.
  • Lead training sessions or workshops for team members on project management best practices and tools.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to the evolution of JourneyTeam’s project management methodologies and tools.

Compensation: 

$80,000 - $130,000 annual salary

This is the established pay range for the Project Manager roles at JourneyTeam. Actual compensation is dependent on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. In general, new employees can expect to start at the lower end of the range (with opportunity to grow and expand within the organization).
