Strategic Account Manager

JourneyTeam is seeking an experienced and motivated Strategic Account Manager to join our Sales team. In this role, you will expand and create strategic relationships with customers, aiming to become their trusted advisor. You will manage a list of assigned customers - identifying and expanding opportunities, improving customer satisfaction, and building relationships across departments and the team. Key responsibilities include ensuring customers derive value from deployed solutions, understanding their business needs, developing relationships, driving sales cycles, presenting pricing, negotiating, and closing deals. Additionally, you will stay updated on technological solutions in this ever-changing landscape. We work mostly with small and mid-sized businesses with occasional enterprise entities. You will collaborate with sales engineers and partners while demonstrating leadership, ethical behavior, a strong work ethic, and collaboration.

Location: 

This is an on-site position with hybrid flexibility, we are located in Draper, UT.

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Maintain up-to-date technical expertise in cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft offerings
  • Analyze customer business processes to identify how our solutions can drive value
  • Understand and quantify the problems customers are dealing with.
  • Expand strategic relationships within existing accounts to uncover new opportunities.
  • Ensure a high standard of client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Generate new business opportunities within existing accounts to fuel the sales pipeline. 
  • Conduct high-level technical conversations with Senior Executives in target accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders.
  • Champion JourneyTeam’s solutions to position us as a trusted advisor.
  • Achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and closed business. 

Qualifications:   

  • 3-5 years of experience in Account Executive or Account Management roles in the technology or professional services industry. 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills. 
  • Understanding of how businesses operate. 
  • Highly motivated, driven and self-starting. 
  • Eager to learn and receptive to feedback.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, team environment. 
  • Ability to understand customer needs and meet those needs with a successful product sale. 
  • Excellent time management/organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrated accountability for personal and team goals.
  • Experience selling cloud-based solutions, particularly Microsoft cloud technologies, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including its capabilities and use cases, preferred.

Compensation: 

Base + Commission - $150,000 - $200,000 OTE

We offer flexible time off, with employees averaging 3.75 weeks per year, and provide paid maternity and paternity leave.
