Solution Specialist (Security and Compliance)
JourneyTeam is looking for a Solution Specialist for our Security and Compliance practice. This person will participate in the development and maintenance of customer solutions and work closely with other team members to perform security assessments and improve Microsoft systems and processes. The ideal team member is an eager learner with a deep and analytical understanding in one or more of the following: Microsoft Identity and Access Management, Security & Compliance, Device management (Intune), Exchange, Business Analysis and Change Management. They have strong troubleshooting and business analysis skills with an interest in growing and expanding their knowledge in Microsoft Security, and Compliance technology stacks.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement the design and support customers in two key Microsoft tech stacks:
- Microsoft 365 solutions including Identity & Access Management, Security & Compliance, Exchange Online, and Intune.
- Azure IaaS and Security services such as Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Virtual Machines, Azure Files, Virtual Networks, Subnets, VPN Gateways, and Express Routes.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and knowledge sharing sessions to develop skills and expertise.
- Participate in Security and Compliance projects, providing technical guidance and oversight to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Implement Microsoft technologies with a Zero Trust Architecture methodology.
- Work with Project Managers on project plans, milestones, tasks related to customer projects.
- Manage personal tasks and backlogs for projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including, but not limited to, user guides, technical specifications, support documents, and technical diagrams.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices to support the organization's evolving Security and Compliance needs.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in Security and Compliance.
Qualifications:
- Microsoft 365 Administration Experience, experience with modern management practices.
- General proficiency with Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Defender solutions, Purview, and Exchange Online.
- General proficiency with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work multiple problems at once.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment and with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Microsoft 365 certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, preferred.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 + performance-based bonus program. Eligibility and payout are tied to individual contributions, team performance, and company success.
This is the established pay range for the Standard & Senior Solution Specialist roles on the Security and Compliance Practice at JourneyTeam. Final compensation is dependent on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. In general, new employees can expect to start at the lower end of the range (with opportunity to grow and expand within the organization)
